Free Download: Birthday + Human Design Ritual

What if a birthday wasn’t a report card but a ritual of return? We take a gentle pause to honor another year of survival and becoming, and we trade checklists for a single, embodied question: how do I want to feel in my body this year? From the first breath to the closing blessing, we explore how rest becomes a right, not a reward, and how honoring your energy can transform frustration into clarity.

I open up about the lessons that landed hardest: support isn’t weakness, it’s sustainability; timelines that don’t fit can be released; and the gut often knows before the mind does. We use human design as a grounded tool for self-permission—unpacking Generators, Manifestors, Projectors, and Reflectors, along with signatures and not-self themes that flag alignment or drift. I share what shifted for me as a Generator with sacral authority, how satisfaction became my north star, and why ignoring the body’s uh-huh/uh-uh costs more than a polite yes ever saves. We also touch profiles 1 through 6, and how a 4/6 path learns through relationships and lived wisdom.

To make it practical, I guide a simple birthday ritual you can repeat anytime: a candle or a hand to the heart, a breath to gather scattered energy, an affirmation for your type, and one word to steer the year. You’ll locate where your truth speaks—gut, chest, or intuition—name the feeling you choose, and exhale the pressure to live outside your design. If you’ve felt behind, this conversation offers a reframe: you’re not late, you’re recalibrating.

If this resonates, share the ritual with someone who needs permission to slow down and celebrate themselves, especially in birthday season. And if you don’t know your human design yet, take that as your invitation. Subscribe, leave a review, and tell me your one word for the year—I’d love to hear what your body is choosing.

Dora:

I'm welcome back to I Mihita Embracing Races Reclaim Your Essentia. If this is your first time here, bienvenida. And if you've been walking with me for a while, thank you for being part of my corazon, my healing, my becoming. Today's episode is different. It's softer, it's celebratory, it's honest. Because it's my birthday. And instead of rushing through it or downplaying it like I used to, I wanted to pause and honor this moment. Not just the age, but the life, the growth, the survival, the becoming. So wherever you're listening from, driving, cleaning, laying down, I invite you to slow down with me. Let this episode be permission. Take a breath with me. And out. Grab your cafecito or something that you like. And let's get into it today. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. I learned what it means to truly listen to my body, not just when it whispers, but when it demands rest. I learned that healing doesn't follow a straight line. And I learned that rest is not something you earn after suffering. It's something you deserve because you're alive. I want to start with gratitude. Thank you to my family who held space for me when I couldn't explain what I was feeling. Thank you to my friends who didn't rush my healing or try to fix me, and they just held space as well. Thank you to my community, this podcast family, who remind me every week that my story matters. This year humbled me. One of the biggest lessons, support doesn't make you weak. Support makes you sustainable. And if you're listening, I want you to ask yourself this. What did this past year teach me about myself that no one else could have taught me? Birthdays used to feel heavy for me. Like a report card. Like I needed to be further along. This year, I'm choosing something different. Instead of asking, what do I need to accomplish? I'm asking, How do I want to feel in my body? Peace, alignment, satisfaction, truth. I'm cleansing my energy, lighting candles, writing gratitude, not just for what worked, but for what broke me open. I'm releasing timelines that don't belong to me anymore. And one of the biggest shifts that helped me step into this new year differently was learning and really honing in on my human design. One of the biggest gifts I gave myself this year, honestly, one of the reasons I feel more grounded stepping into this new birthday year is honing in and learning my human design. And I want to slow this part down because human design is not about labels. It's not about putting yourself in a box. It's about removing the boxes you were never meant to live in. For so much of my life, I thought something was wrong with me. Why I burned out, why forcing things never worked, why my body would shut down even when my mind said, keep going. Like let's go as long as you know, like just keep going. Human design didn't tell me who to become, it just reminded me who I already was. If human design is new to you, let me break it down in a way that feels grounded, that you can really breathe into it. And I'm gonna give you some examples of how I use it in my life. So human design is a system that shows you how your energy is designed to move through the world. It's based on astrology, the chakra system, the Aiching, quantum physics. But at its core, it answers questions like, How do I make decisions that feel right in my body? Why do I get drained even when I'm doing good things? How do I work with my energy instead of against it? This isn't about personality tests or just how your personality is. This is about energetics. And when you understand your energetics, you stop shaming yourself of for how you're wired and you start to embrace it. So in human design, I my type is a generator. So generators make up about 70% of the population, and yet so many of us are exhausted. Why? Because generators are not meant to initiate from the mind. We're meant to respond to life. Generator energy is like a battery. When we're aligned, our energy is renewable. When we're not, we hit frustration, burnout, resentment. For years I said yes out of obligation. I pushed through exhaustion, I forced timelines, and my body paid the price. Very, very much so. My human design taught me something radical though. My body knows before my mind does. As a generator, I also have a sacral authority. That means my decision making doesn't live in my head, it lives in my gut. It sounds like uh-huh or uh, or it's a pull forward or a full body contraction. And let me tell you, when I ignore that sacral response, frustration shows up fast. This year I practiced listening to my body instead of explaining myself. That alone changed everything. So when I'm like asking a question simple as like, do I like this car? Uh-huh. Or uh-uh, like that, I have to honor that. Or when I'm making a decision and I'm stepping into it, it's like if I get the iche or if I get this feeling, it's like I should not move forward. I need to honor those things. Every human design type has a signature, which is how alignment feels, and a not self-theme, which is how misalignment feels. So my signature as a sick as a generator is satisfaction, not excitement, not hustle, not exhaustion, satisfaction. My not theme is frustration. And when I learned this, I stopped judging myself. Frustration wasn't me being ungrateful, it was information. It was my soul saying, this isn't it. Like we need to try something different. We need to go through the motions and try to figure out what causes that frustration. Because, or I just need to abandon it completely because this is not the path for me at this point in moment. So let's do an overview of the human design types. So the first one, like the one I relate to, is generators. They're here to build, create, and sustain life force energy. They thrive when responding, not forcing. So their lesson is patience and self-trust. Now, manifestors. Here they are to initiate and start movements. They need freedom and rest, and their lesson is peace through informing, not controlling. Projectors. They're here to guide, see systems, and hold wisdom. Their energy is not meant to be constant. Their lesson is to rest and recognition. And my kids are projectors, and that's where I definitely see that firsthand with them. Let me just say, it makes me love them even more. Reflectors. Now, reflectors are the very rare gems of the world, because they're very they're rare in human design to find, but they're here to mirror the collective and hold lunar wisdom. Highly sensitive and intuitive. So their lesson is patience and environmental awareness. So every type is needed, every type is sacred. Now, your profile shows how your soul moves through life, and there's six of them. Line number one is the investigator. They need safety through knowledge. They learn deeply before sharing. Line two, the natural. They're born with gifts, and they do need solitude to integrate what they're going through. Line three is the experimenter. They learn through mistakes. They're here to normalize failure. So it's like trial and error, trial and error. That's normal in their lives. Line four is the connector. Life unfolds through relationships, through connection, and then community is everything for them. Line five is the visionary, natural leader and problem solver, often projected onto. Line six is the role model, lives in phases, gains wisdom through lived experience. My profile is a four-six. That means my life unfolds through relationships and lived wisdom. I'm not here to preach, I'm here to embody. My lessons came through real life, through motherhood, healing, grief, rebuilding, surrender. And now in this phase of my life, I feel myself stepping more fully into the role model role. Not because I'm perfect, but because I'm honest. So if you take nothing else from this human design conversation, take this. You are not broken, you are not lazy, you are not behind, you may just be operating out of alignment. Learning yourself is an act of self-love. And this birthday year, I'm choosing alignment over expectation. Now let's do a birthday and human design ritual together. Before we begin, I invite you to create a little moment for yourself. You don't need anything fancy. If you can, light a candle. If you have one, hold a crystal, a rosary, or simply place your hand over your heart. This ritual is about honoring your life force, not performing healing. Sit comfortably, let your shoulders drop, unclench your jaw, take a slow breath in through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. Now let's work on grounding into our body. On your inhale, imagine drawing your energy back home to your body from the past, from the expectations, from the old timelines. On your exhale, release the pressure to be more, to do more, to approve more. Now bring to mind your human design type. If you know it, name it silently or out loud. If you don't, simply say, My energy has wisdom. If you're a generator, place a hand on your belly and say, I honor my life force, I respond, I don't force. If you're a manifester, place a hand on your chest and say, I honor my power to initiate and rest. If you're a projector, place a hand on your heart and say, I honor my wisdom and my need for rest. If you're a reflector, place both hands over your heart and say, I honor my sensitivity and cyclical nature. There is nothing to earn. Now bring awareness to where your truth lives. For some of us, it's in the gut. For others, it's emotional clarity. For some of other ones, it's time, intuition, or sound. Place your hand where your truth speaks loudest. Ask quietly, what does my body need this year? So trust the first sensation, word or feeling that comes up, not the explanation. Just go with what comes up right now. Every design has a signal that tells us when we're off track. Maybe it's frustration, maybe it's bitterness, maybe it's anger, maybe it's disappointment. Place that feeling into your breath. As you exhale, say, I release the pressure to live outside my design. You are not behind. You are recalibrating. This is where we plant the save for our new year, is with our birthday intention. Instead of asking, what do I want to accomplish? Ask how do I want to feel in my body this year? And choose one word. Now say this year I choose alignment over expectation. May your energy be honored. May your body feel safe. May your truth be welcomed. May you stop abandoning yourself. Another year older, another year wiser, another year closer to yourself. Your existence is the celebration. Now, if this ritual spoke to you, I'd love for you to share it with someone who needs permission to slow down and celebrate themselves, especially if it's their birthday season. And if you don't know your human design yet, that's your invitation. Because knowing yourself is a radical act of self-love. And of course, you can find me at the Praxedis on Instagram, or you can email me at hola at dorapraxadis.com or check me out on my website at dorapraxedis.com. I'll also have a ritual that you can download. You could do this on your birthday. And if you want any additional guidance, you can always reach out to me. And you can also drop a text by sending me a voice member or a note in the show notes. You'll find those links. Alrighty. Well, talk to you soon. Wishing you a great, great holiday season as I'm recording this. And thank you for so much love and all your support.
